The Verona is solid natural beechwood, with the board pattern inlaid directly into the wood rather than printed on top, built to be played on hard and still look right sitting closed on a shelf between games.
Genuine wood marquetry, not printed: burgundy and ivory inlay set directly into the beechwood surface, so the pattern won't fade, peel, or wear off with use like a printed board does.
Complete set, nothing to source separately: 30 wooden checkers at 30mm, 15 light and 15 burgundy, natural wood dice, a doubling cube, and two wooden dice cups all included.
Shaped natural wood handle and brass fittings: gold toned hardware and a solid handle that closes securely for storage or travel, carries like a real case, not a taped together box.
